Add Your Entry

All values are compulsory, except the following:

  • link text
  • url
  • state
  • area

In case you do have a web site, don't use your business name as your link text. It's better to use a term you hope will return your site in the search results if this term is used in a search engine.

For example, if you sell blue widgets and your firm name is Jackson Technology, use "blue widgets" as your link text instead of Jackson Technology. People are more likely to search using "blue widgets" if they are looking for blue widgets. It is extremely unlikely that anyone looking for blue widgets will use the search term "Jackson Technology".

Formatting Your Description

The details you enter won't be in paragraphs. To get paragraphs one has to use html tags. That's really easy. This is how it's done: <p>This is my paragraph</p>. You do not need to have lines open, or even start a new paragraph on a new line, for this to work.

To get text in bold, like so, one has to use these tags: <b>This is bold text</b>.

Even if you press enter and force the text on to a new line in the text area, when it displays the break you caused by pressing enter will be lost. The way to get the following text on two lines is this: this text is<br />
broken into two lines by the tag.

You can enter all valid html formatting tags. The tags themselves won't be visible in your description, only their effects. To get them to display on this page I had to "escape" them. These few will get you going. If you want more, look on the web. There are a great many basic html tutorials on the web.
